About Jane (she/her)

Jane earned her Master’s of Education from Loyola University in Maryland, with a focus on Positive Discipline. She completed her Montessori Education certificate at Montessori Northwest in Portland. Jane’s work with children and parents began in 2000. She has experience in a diverse array of childcare, school, and caregiving facilities in both Oregon and the Czech Republic. Jane prioritized cultural competence throughout her teaching career. She led anti-bias/anti-racism workshops in the local Montessori community and developed curricula that centered experiences of diverse populations. For twelve years Jane supported children and families as the lead teacher in a Montessori primary classroom and is an AMI certified Montessori guide. As a teacher, Jane passionately guided young children in their exploration of independence, facilitated their development of resilience, and nurtured their self-actualization. At this stage in her career, she brings wisdom and creativity to each family she serves.
